This year Crop Hunger Walk will raise funds to help stop hunger here in North Anne Arundel County and around the world, through self-help development initiatives. A portion of the funds (25%) raised from the Walk will go to the North County Emergency Outreach Network (NCEON).
CROP, originally an acronym for Church Rural Overseas Project, began more than 60 years ago in the aftermath of World War II. Now administered by Church World Service, a nondenominational religious organization, the project distributes emergency goods and self-help services to more than 80 countries worldwide, as well as throughout the United States.
