Glen Burnie is always working hard to strengthen our children's ministries. Our Director of Nursery and Children's ministries, Enger Muteteke, oversees our programs.
Sunday school is held every week from 9:45 - 10:45 for children ages 2 and up.
Currently the curriculum being used in all classes is Hands-On Bible curriculum through Group Publishing and the Young Parents class is Faith Weaver by Group. Research proves the greatest influences on faith development are the conversations that take place in the home. Faith Weaver makes it easy for families to come together and grow in faith because everyone studies the same Bible story, in age-appropriate ways, each week. Our goal is to make a stronger church by making stronger families.
The elementary classes have special events each year for Easter and Christmas. We also offer a week long bible school program every summer.
Other children's ministries include the children's choir and the Nursery which is available during the 8:30 and 9:45am services for ages infant through 4 years of age. If you have questions about our Children's ministries or are ready to get involved, please contact our church office.
Vacation Bible School
The theme for our 2011 vacation bible school is Pandamania - God is Wild About You!
At PandaMania VBS, kids will explore a bamboo forest full of fun-loving pandas! And Psalm 139 comes to life as kids learn that they are God's most precious creation.
